Day Tours from Dublin

Day Tour to County Wicklow

My tour of Wicklow will bring you to one of the most beautiful parts of Ireland and one
of my favorite places to visit.


Pick up in Dublin City at 9.30am.

Powerscourt House & Gardens (45 minutes) - a short audio-visual tells the history of the house and it various families. The optional garden tour is self-guided and offers amazing scenery, formal gardens and rambling walks.

At Glendalough call to the visitor centre (optional) to see/read about the life of St Kevin and his followers - then visit the ancient ruins nearby.

Lunch at Glendalough or at a nearby country pub.

At Avoca Woolen Mills experience the skilled workers on site producing their wonderful array of blankets, scarves and much more (seasonal opening).

Return to Dublin approx 4.30pm.

This is an 7-8 hour day trip.

Day Tour to Kilkenny

Kilkenny City has much to offer the visitor such as Kilkenny Castle, historical houses and churches, wonderful pubs and restaurants and ample opportunity for shopping.

Pick up in Dublin City at 9.30am.

Kilkenny Castle (90 minutes) - a self-guided tour takes you through the restored castle and surrounding gardens.

Kilkenny City streets and St. Canice's Cathedral - a climb to the top of the round tower for the more agile.

Lunch in one of the wonderful pubs or restaurants in the city.

A scenic drive (time permitting) along The Nore valley through Bennetsbridge and return to Dublin.

Return to Dublin approx 4.30pm.

Day Tour to Laois & Kildare

Discover the rich landscape of the Irish midlands in County Kildare and County Laois.



Pickup in Dublin City at 9.30am.

The Irish National Stud & Japanese Gardens in Kildare is the first stop. This is the home of Ireland's thoroughbred horse industry with expert guided tours and The Japanese Gardens which are world renowned. The gardens are self-guided and you may opt for a guided tour of the stud facility (included in admission price). The guided tours are conducted by staff from the stables and are well recommended.

Lunch at National Stud or nearby traditional local pub.

A little further south in County Laois is The Rock of Dunamase.

Just a short journey takes us to Emo Court where you can explore the beautiful gardens with walks around the nearby lake. 

Return to Dublin at approx. 4.30pm.
